I have been working in a therapeutic capacity since 1989.
After graduating from university and a short period of travel
my lifešs interests of music and movement came to the fore
as the areas within which my therapeutic capabilities would
begin to take shape. At this time my studies were of a shamanic
nature (Native American, Tibetan and Celtic). I had a further
period of six years of travel which included periods of
intensive study of traditional indigenous instruments, with
a particular interest in their effects on the human bodies
which culminated in the recording of an album of my own
music in 1993. This was also a period of working on myself
supported by practicing yoga, tai chi and dance and studying
body work as a complementary health practice.
I arrived in Switzerland in 1994 where I met my husband
and my three step-children. Our two sons were born in 1996
and 1999. This period of my life has given me the chance
to observe many of the places (inside and outside) in which
we become cut off from our own source of life force as we
grow through childhood into our adult selves. Stimulated
by this, I began to evolve creative ways of recreating this
flow of life force to regain losses in health and wellness.
Our family moved to Andalucia, Spain in 2003 where both
children are now going to school and I have become able
to begin working in the wider community again. I now run
a bodywork practice and a bi-lingual internet portal for
alternative activities in the region.
